During her tenure at Khoury Johnson Leavitt, Marcy was instrumental in creating and managing association clients for the firm. With over 35 years of experience in management and event planning, she retired in 2023 to establish her own company alongside Lauren.
Marcy offers a comprehensive range of association management services, oversees client relations, and orchestrates major events, in addition to managing day-to-day operations. Her extensive expertise equips her to assist clients of all sizes in achieving their goals effectively. Throughout her three-decade career in association management, Marcy has significantly enhanced client membership, revenue, and participation for the associations under her management. In addition to her professional work, Marcy serves as an Ionia County Victim Advocate and is a member of the Portland Township Planning Commission as well as the Portland Area Municipal Authority boards.

Following this, Lauren worked for a Lansing-based consulting firm, honing her skills in strategic planning, operations, and client relations.
In 2024, after starting a family and realizing a passion for helping organizations operate more efficiently, Lauren launched Consulting by ML with Marcy. With a vision to streamline the complex tasks of association management and event planning, CBML provides tailored services designed to enhance organizational performance and create impactful, memorable events.
Lauren's unique background in government, consulting, and entrepreneurship has shaped her ability to offer practical, results-driven solutions to associations of all sizes. With a commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and a strong focus on building lasting relationships, Lauren is dedicated to supporting associations in their journey toward growth, efficiency, and success.

During her time at Western, she completed internships with Gordon Food Service, Kalamazoo Sport & Social Club, and Q-IT-UP Catering, where she discovered her passion for Marketing and Event Planning.
Following graduation, Maddie helped manage Q-IT-UP Catering while also supporting a startup marketing and event planning company in Kalamazoo that specialized in working with Ameriprise Financial Planners. Through these experiences, she developed a strong background in client relations, event coordination, strategic marketing, and building lasting professional relationships.
After several years in Kalamazoo, Maddie relocated to the Grand Rapids area to be closer to family, where she expanded her professional experience within the manufacturing industry, focusing on tool, die, and aerospace operations.
Later, after meeting her husband in Portland, Michigan, she made the move to the Lansing area and continued pursuing her passion for events and client experiences as the Corporate Event Sales & Planner for Eagle Eye Golf Club.
